Hazard Series are stories around a group of friends, member of Delta Mu
Sorority. The books can be read as stand-alone novels, although there are
interconnected characters in each books as the series progress. The series contains
adult content, but not too much vulgar language; but it is advisable to read
this series if only you already 18 years old and up.

isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like
that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to
tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream
guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and
how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my
freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
The Hazard Of Skinny Dipping is a sweet story about Juliet Monroe in her
journey finding love. Julie is a freshman in Harrison University in Charleston,
South Carolina. Julie’s cousin, Amy, left a bucket list of things to do and
encourage Julie to complete them before starting her college days to help Julie
come out of her shy and serious self in high school to become more adventurous.
So the story begins one week before Julie starting college with a mission to
finished one last thing on that bucket list, which is skinny dipping. In order
doing it, she went to her Grandparents Villa that has a swimming pool in it.
Much to
her surprises, suddenly her next door neighbor and her long time crush, Dylan
Bradley walk in to say hi. And just like a dream come through, they hook up
that night. But the experience is not like Julie expected, so she considers it
to be a casual one night hook up, and leave for Campus the next morning. And to
her surprise, Dylan, who is a senior at Harrison, catch up with her the next
week and wants her to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, there’s another hot boy
that also steals her attention.
The Hazard Of Skinny Dipping is a light yet deep meaningful story of a
young adult going through her own journey in finding love and friendship. The
story also trying to turn the stigma of a Greek Sorority Girl to highlighted
its positive impact to their college life experience. I think the story is
kinda sweet and romantic, and also realistic enough at the same time so we as
reader can relate with Julie’s journey to adulthood. I really like Julie’s and
Reed’s character. The Hazard Of Skinny Dipping is the first book
in the series, and could be read as a stand-alone novel. We still can see Julie
in the next books in the series.

Amy, Sepupu Julie, memberikan sebuah daftar yang
berisikan hal-hal yang harus dilakukan oleh Julie sebelum memulai hari-harinya
di masa kuliah, untuk membantu Julie keluar dari sifat pemalu dan seriusnya
semasa di waktu SMU dulu dan menjadikan Julie menjadi lebih petualang. Jadi

juga sarat dengan penuh arti mengenai kisah perjalanan seorang Julie yang baru
beranjak dewasa dalam kisah pencariannya untuk menemukan jati diri, dan arti
cinta serta persahabatan. Cerita ini juga mencoba untuk mengubah citra mengenai
perkumpulan Sorority yang melekat selama ini dengan lebih menitik beratkan pada
pengalaman positif perkumpulan Sorority dalam kehidupan kuliah para anggotanya.
Aku pikir kisah ini cukup manis dan romantic, dan juga cukup realistis sehingga
saat membacanya para pembaca dapat merasakan perasaan Julie dalam perjalanannya
menuju kedewasaan. Selain itu aku sangat menyukai penggambaran dari karakter
utamanya, Julie dan Reed. The Hazard Of Skinny Dipping merupakan buku
pertama dalam serial ini, dan dapat dibaca sebagai buku novel stand-alone
novel, walaupun nantinya kita masih akan dapat melihat Julie di dalam buku-buku
selanjutnya di dalam serial ini.

The Hazard Of One Night Stand is a story about Mallory and her journey in
finding herself and eventually finding true love.
Mallory is
a Sophomore at Harrison College, and member of Delta Mu. The story begins in
August during the Summer holiday, just one week before class started. Sets in Mallory’s
small hometown Gasden, and also at Charleston, South Carolina and Charlotte,
North Carolina. During her last day of summer break in Gasden, Mallory rekindle
her friendship with Colton. One night with him stirs Mallory’s feeling that
she’s trying to avoid, especially since their relationship will makes
everything in Mallory’s life more complicated. So she’s doing what she thought
the best way out, which is running back to college in hoping to not see Colton
again. Unlucky for her, it turns out that Colton is accepted at Harrison as a freshman,
and pledge for Kappa Fraternity house (which is the house that mostly partnered
with Delta Mu).
Mallory is ashamed if her friends find out
that she has feelings for a freshman and a pledge, even though Colton only
three months younger than her, not to mention that Colton is her ex-boyfriend’s
younger brother. So to distract herself from her growing feelings for Colton,
she decided to date Tanner, a Senior student and member of Kappa House instead.
While I
really like the first book, The Hazard Of Skinny Dipping, unfortunately I
cannot say the same with the sequel, The Hazard Of One Night Stand. For me the
story in The
Hazard Of One Night Stand is kinda boring and the plot is a bit too
lame, I’m also not a fan of the main character, Mallory. I find her character a
bit annoying with all her resistance with Colton mainly because of a lame
excuse that he’s a freshman and three months younger… What!??? Shouldn’t it be
a better story if focusing to Colton as her ex-boyfriend’s brother? There’s so
much potential and family drama that could be add to the story from that point
of view to make this book more interesting… Overall, for me this book is just
average, and I still like the first book in the series better.

The
Hazard Of One Night Stand menceritakan kisah perjalanan Mallory dalam
mencari jati dirinya dan pada akhirnya ia menemukan kisah cinta sejatinya.
Mallory adalah seorang Mahasiswi tingkat 2 di
Harrison University, dan anggota dari Delta Mu. Kisah Mallory ini dimulai pada
bulan Agustus saat libur musim panas, hanya satu minggu sebelum kegiatan
perkuliahan dimulai. Mengambil latar belakang di beberapa tempat seperti Gasden
(kota kecil tempat tinggal Mallory); di Charleston, South Carolina; dan
Charlotte, North Carolina.
Di minggu akhir liburan musim panas yang
dihabiskannya di Gasden, Mallory bertemu kembali dengan sahabat lamanya,
Colton. Satu malam bersama Colton membuat Mallory gundah dengan segala perasaan
campur aduk yang sudah lama berusaha dihindarinya, terutama karena hubungan yang

sebenarnya Colton hanya berjarak tiga bulan lebih muda daripada Mallory, belum
lagi kakak Colton adalah mantan pacar Mallory semasa sekolah dulu. Jadi untuk
mengalihkan perasaannya yang terus bertumbuh terhadap Colton, Mallory
memutuskan untuk mengencani Tanner, seorang mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang juga
merupakan anggota Kappa.
Walaupun aku menyukai buku pertama dari
serial ini, The
Hazard Of Skinny Dipping, sayangnya aku tidak dapat mengatakan hal
yang sama dengan buku keduanya ini, The Hazard Of One Night Stand. Bagiku, cerita
dalam The
Hazard Of One Night Stand terasa agak membosankan dan plot ceritanya
kurang kuat, selain itu aku juga bukan fans dari karakter utamanya, Mallory.
Bagiku karakter utamanya ini terasa cukup mengesalkan dengan segala
perlawanannya terhadap perasaannya terhadap Colton hanya karena alasan lemah
bahwa Colton adalah mahasiswa baru yang berumur tiga bulan lebih muda. What!???
Mengapa yang menjadi permasalahan adalah umurnya, mengapa tidak berfokus pada
fakta bahwa Colton adalah adik dari mantan pacar Mallory? Setidaknya jika
berfokus pada hal itu, mungkin cerita yang dapat digali menjadi lebih baik
dengan adanya potensial konflik dan permasalahan keluarga yang dapat
ditambahkan ke dalam ceritanya yang mungkin dapat membuat cerita ini menjadi
lebih menarik…. Secara keseluruhan, bagiku buku ini terasa biasa-biasa saja,
dan aku lebih menyukai buku pertamanya daripada buku keduanya ini.

never imagined I'd fall for a musician, especially not one like Chase, but then

The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach is a love story between Cara and Chase. It
begins in January during winter break, a month after the ending in The Hazards Of
One Night Stand. It sets in several places like Myrtle Beach, Nashville,
and of course Charleston. Cara just broke up with her ex-boyfriend, Aaron,
because she found out that he’s been cheating on her the whole time with his
ex-girlfriend. Broken hearted, she met with a cute guy, Chase at a party, and
after a couple of drinks, they ended up on the beach.
Cara thinks that she
won’t ever see that cute guy again after she refused to give him her number
after the hook up. She even didn’t know his last name, and he didn’t know her
last name either. So imagine her surprise when a few weeks later she meets with
him again at a music show that one of her sorority sister drag her to come, and
he’s apparently a lead singer of a rising indie-rock band. From there their
romance started to flare with all the ups and downs of a long distance
relationship, and Cara’s journey in re-finding herself after a nasty breakup.
I really like Cara’s
and Chase’s story in The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach. Their
interactions with each other are sweet, cute and romantic at the same time. I
like Cara’s character and also Chase’s character, although I find that he’s too
perfect and too good to be true, but I still enjoy reading their story. It is a
light reading without too much drama involve, I like how Cara’s and Chase’s
relationship grew in this book, and I also like the supporting characters, Jade
and Kyle. I think The Hazard Of Sex On The Beach become my new
favorite book in the series.

The
Hazards Of Sex On The Beach menceritakan kisah cinta antara Cara dan
Chase. Kisah dalam buku ini dimulai di bulan Januari saat liburan musim dingin,
satu bulan setelah akhir cerita dalam The Hazards Of One Night Stand. Mengambil
setting di beberapa tempat seperti Myrtle Beach, Nashville, dan tentu saja di Charleston.
Cara yang saat itu baru saja berpisah dari mantan pacarnya, Aaron, karena Aaron
ternyata berselingkuh dengan mantan pacarnya selama ia berpacaran dengan Cara.
Dalam kondisi patah hati, Cara bertemu dengan seseorang bernama Chase di sebuah
pesta, dan setelah beberapa gelas minuman, mereka akhirnya melakukan hubungan
intim di tepi pantai.
Cara
berpikir bahwa ia tidak akan bertemu kembali dengan Chase setelah ia menolak
memberikan nomor teleponnya kepada Chase di pertemuan pertama mereka malam itu.
Dia bahkan tidak menanyakan nama lengkap Chase, dan Chase juga tidak mengetahui
nama lengkap Cara. Jadi betapa terkejutnya Cara saat ia bertemu kembali dengan
Chase beberapa minggu kemudian di sebuah pertunjukan musik, dimana Cara tanpa
rencana datang karena diajak oleh salah satu saudari Delta Mu nya, dan ternyata
Chase merupakan penyanyi utama dari band indie-rock yang sedang naik daun yang
mengisi acara malam itu. Dari situlah kisah romantis mereka mulai tumbuh dan
berkembang dengan segala kendala dari hubungan jarak jauh, dan perjalanan Cara
dalam menemukan kembali jati dirinya setelah perpisahannya yang pahit dari
Aaron.
Aku
sangat menyukai kisah Cara dan Chase dalam The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach. Interaksi
antara keduanya terasa sangat manis, imut dan sekaligus romantic. Aku sangat
menyukai karakter Cara dan Chase, walaupun sebenarnya Chase terasa terlalu
sempurna untuk menjadi nyata, tapi aku sangat menikmati membaca mengenai kisah

starts a year earlier during Christmas holiday, before Savy going to Harrison
the following year. Savy always spent time with her father and her grandparents
for Christmas holiday in Vail, Colorado. She also always spent her holiday time
with her longtime friend, Glen, who she only saw once a year during their
families’ holiday but always keeping close contact with each other all year. But
everything starting to change for Savy and Glen when she’s eighteen years old,
and it all started with a simple kiss under the mistletoe. Unfortunately, Glen
then did something stupid and hurts Savy’s feeling, which resulted her to leave
a few days later without any chance for Glen to clear the fight between them.
Fast forward to one year later, they meet again when Savy visit her father on
Christmas holiday. Could both Savy and Glen reconcile their differences and
rekindle their friendship into something more?

The Hazards Of Sleeping With A Friend is a love story between Jade Cambridge and
Kyle Bradley. It sets during summer break, nine months after the ending in The Hazards Of
Sex On The Beach. Taken place in several different places : Lake
George in New York, a wood cabin in Atlanta, and of course in Charleston, South
Carolina.
We first see Kyle in The Hazards Of
Skinny Dipping as Dylan’s little brother who has a crush on Julie.
Then we see him again in The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach, which he
kinda play a bigger supporting character for the main character, Cara. In The Hazards Of
Sex On The Beach, we also see a lot of character improvement for
Kyle compare with how he was portrayed before in The Hazards Of Skinny Dipping.
As for Jade, she
first appeared in The Hazards Of One Night Stand as Mallory’s
little sister in Delta Mu, then she plays a much larger role and we can see a
lot her unique character development in The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach. So I’m very
happy that finally they’re having their own story, especially in The Hazards Of
Sleeping With A Friend, we got to see both Jade’s and Kyle POV in
the story. The dual POV really helps understanding both main characters better.
The Hazards Of Sleeping With A Friend is great for the most 2/3 parts. But I’m a
little bit disappointed by the way the story ends. The storyline is good, the
problems are also feel real and the family problems are very touching. But
there’s still some issues about Kyle’s relationship with his family that keeps left
hanging towards to the ending and no closure at all, which I found a little bit
disappointing. It is such a pity since the book could turn out to be a very
great book, if only Kyle get the chance to resolve all the things that happens
with him and his brother with his parents, especially with his father before
the story ends. But other than that, this book is a great read to pass your
time.

Hazards Of Sleeping With A Friend merupakan sebuah cerita cinta antara
Jade Cambridge dan Kyle Bradley yang berawal dari persahabatan. Mengambil waktu
cerita selama liburan musim panas, sembilan bulan setelah akhir cerita dalam The Hazards Of
Sex On The Beach. Cerita dalam buku ini mengambil tempat di beberapa
lokasi : Danau George di New York, sebuah kabin peristirahatan di Atlanta, dan tentu
saja di kota Charleston, South Carolina.
Kyle
pertama kali muncul dalam The Hazards Of Skinny Dipping sebagai adik Dylan
yang juga naksir Julie. Lalu ia kembali dalam The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach,
dimana ia menjadi karakter pendukung yang cukup mengambil peranan penting
sebagai teman dari Cara, tokoh utamanya. Dalam The Hazards Of Sex On The Beach,
Kyle mengalami perkembangan karakter yang cukup besar dari karakter yang
ditampilkan sebelumnya di dalam The Hazards Of Skinny Dipping.
Dan
untuk Jade, dia pertama kali muncul dalam The Hazards Of One Night Stand sebagai adik
asuh Delta Mu-nya Mallory, lalu saat ia muncul memainkan peranan yang lebih
besar dalam The
Hazards Of Sex On The Beach, banyak terlihat juga pengembangan
karakter yang unik dari Jade. Jadi aku cukup senang saat akhirnya kedua
karakter favorit ini mempunyai kisah cinta mereka sendiri, apalagi dalam The Hazards Of
Sleeping With A Friend ini ada dua sudut pandang cerita baik dari
sisi Jade maupun dari sisi Kyle. Dua sudut pandang cerita ini sangat membantu
dalam lebih memahami para karakter utama dan permasalahan yang mereka hadapi.
The
Hazards Of Sleeping With A Friend cukup baik untuk sebagian besar
ceritanya (sekitar 2/3 nya). Namun aku agak kecewa dengan sedikit akhir
ceritanya. Jalan ceritanya sih cukup bagus, permasalahan yang dihadapi juga
cukup nyata dan hubungan keluarga yang kompleks juga cukup menyentuh. Akan
tetapi masih ada beberapa isu antara Kyle dengan keluarganya, terutama ayahnya,
yang dibiarkan menggantung dan tidak terselesaikan sampai di akhir cerita yang
sedikit mengecewakan. Ini sangat disayangkan karena sebenarnya buku ini dapat
menjadi salah satu buku yang benar-benar bagus, jika saja Kyle mendapatkan
kesempatan untuk menyelesaikan keruwetan hubungannya dengan keluarganya,
terutama ayahnya mengenai kondisi kakaknya yang sebenarnya. Tapi selain itu,
buku ini cukup bagus untuk dapat dinikmati saat waktu senggang.
